About this book

Drive technology for eye implants is a key element of the BMBF research project “Artificial Accommodation Systems.” For the first time, this book describes the design solutions and demonstrates their feasibility by realizing them as functioning models. To this end, two different drive solutions are being developed for different optics. They each include a novel elastic deformation mechanism for planar micro-transmissions.
