About this book

This book takes different perspectives to ask how historical scholarship has transformed, presenting a collective biography that traces the emigration and remigration of German-speaking historians to and from transatlantic guest professorships in the twentieth century, supplemented with theories of migration and Westernization. It utilizes praxeology and depth hermeneutics to examine their reception in Historische Zeitschrift reviews from 1949.
