The biography of Helmut Schneider (1910–1968): opponent to the Nazis, employee at the IG Auschwitz for Workers’ Personnel Issues, friend to and protector of French forced laborers, witness at the IG Farben trial in Nuremberg, sued by the Braunschweig State Court, and Chief Executive of the Goslar Town Council from 1949. A life caught between opposition, perpetration, and repression.
